Leg
Piglets for sale
View all 20 photos...
I'm going to leave this picture to your interpretation

Leg sticking out from the tent

Piglets for sale!

It was 42 degrees outside. You can only survive this by either being in the pool, or with the help of cold beer

You can buy a whole chicken for 4 EUR! This is half a chicken for 2 EUR and it was more than enough

Your friendly toilet

This was the best band I saw this weekend. It's rare to find bands that play ska, so this really made a good night for me

You can see the video here

Girl with strange hair sitting by the pool

Help, I'm drowning!

Ride the mechanical bull!

There was this metal band playing. I didn't like them very much, though I've made a video if someone wants to see them. This song is apparently about global warming

The crowd

Here's an artsy way of making a grainy photo look nice

Looking at her phone

Next morning at 6 AM, you can see sleepy people everywhere

The problem is it becomes very hot at 8 AM, so at that point there's not much use of going to sleep anymore.

These two remained in this position for at least an hour

We've found a group of stoned/drunk people dancing to techno in the morning

I guess they were all stoned, since they couldn't take the grin off their faces

I wanted to try it for months, and finally here it is: lasagna flavored burek!

A blue door

Fornetti makes you fat

You're using MY name
And I'm talking about the first picture, the cutlery doesn't match i.e. cheap place you're eating at i.e. hair and bacteria in the food i.e. you're going to die from food poisoning i.e. I get to keep the name.

i really like the picture "A blue door ". and i think if u align a pic a litte bit (cause i see it not a straight) and make the color more saturate, it can be more interesting pic. Mon 23-Jul-2007 19:47

Scientology

I was reading about scientology on Wikipedia, and found this interesting quote
Quote:
The Church says that psychiatry was responsible for World War I, the rise of Hitler and Stalin, the decline in education standards in the United States, the wars in Bosnia and Kosovo, and the September 11 attacks.

They're definitively right about the war in Bosnia, as the leader of the Bosnian Serbs was a psychiatrist.

I got this book in Amsterdam. I wonder why scientologists don't exist here. It's not like we're intollerant, Jehova's withnesses are doing just fine
Maybe we're not rich enough to gain membership

Irish consulate

Street
Flag
Bridge
View all 8 photos...
I went to the Irish consulate to get some general information about obtaining a work permit. Apparently my potential employers don't know how to do it.
This is not a good sign...

Anyway, the consulate was very hidden in small streets and it was quite difficult to find it.

Afterwards, when I spoke to the consul, she told me that there is a flag outside the building. I was looking for a flag but didn't see it. Only later did I find it, wrapped on the pole

People walking under the bridge

I like how they stylized the bridge

This is some old building

Here's a special one for JP Harr, who loves Cold War history. Some kids wrote on this wall: "NKPJ - SKOJ", which means "New Communist Party of Yugoslavia - Alliance of Communist Youth"

The problem is Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore, and neither does the SKOJ, which was a pioneer organization

In the front of the bus is a sign that says "This place is not for your luggage"

Things were so much better under communism.

Not that I would know.... The young skinheads should find gainful employment and find satisfaction in a decent day's work traded for a decent day's wages.

You going to Ireland to find work? That's cool. What kind of work are you hoping to do?

Bread
Carmageddon
Call
View all 4 photos...
In accordance with Dr.Ristic's whining, I've decided to post pictures of what I did today.

So first, when I woke up, I went out to buy some bread.

Afterwards I went to play some Carmageddon...

When suddenly I got a phone call (number hidden). I recognized from the starting number that it's from Ireland

And they told me that I've got the job in Dublin. I should move in two months if everything goes right

So now I've bought beer

This is probably how the rest of the day will go on...

Congratulations. But now you'll live in the EU, a fate worse than death. Fri 22-Jun-2007 01:15

Death star

That's an interesting view. It actually reminds me of the Death Star from Star Wars but yeah, I guess the blue and gray colors do make it look sad and lonely. Sat 9-Jun-2007 18:03

Weren't there scenes of the Death Star where it wasn't finished yet? Like it was out in space, but still being built? The hollow spot in the ball is where the ball isn't. Mon 18-Jun-2007 16:38

Well here the Death Star looks completed: http://www.physicsguides.com/images/deathstar.jpg

Interesting how I showed this to lots of people and nobody thought of the Death Star

I was reading how real estate prices in the UK are continuing to rise because there are not enough construction workers to build new appartment buildings. Well here they are, too bad the work permit scheme has made it impossible for them to ever get a job in the UK.

I wonder how many fish there are next to the fertilizer factory

Here's another fisherman

I like the reflections in the water

Maybe Jen thinks everybody should just be given a home. Here ya go! And then what about the next person who wants to live in it when the original owner wants to move up? Does the gov't own it all along? Who maintains it? If there is no owner, then who cares about it? Who cares for it? If nobody owns it nor cares about it, then nobody cares for it. It is never an investment and there is no incentive. Therefore, the government will build it poorly, nobody will care for it (because that's always somebody else's job) and it will be destroyed. That is cycle that was proved not to work by the great Soviet Republic, among other places. We own a rental house; it is rented by college students. It's perfect for all involved! We purchased it and therefore have incentive to see that our investment is protected. College students need a place to live but don't want to own property. They will pay our mortgage and one day we will sell it. The property will have appreciated while somebody else has paid for it, and except for a large tax hit, everybody wins. Long live the free market!
Now, as for eating fish that are caught near that fertilizer factory: don't eat them!
Your shots, FlyingOrange, are always interesting. They tell stories of history and of what is happening today, often combining those two time frames. Keep doing what you're doing!
