Terezin
|
|
On our way to Germany, we made a quick stop at the Terezin concentration camp
A large cross oversees the graveyard
And there's a David's cross
The fort
In the town, there's a small museum dedicated to the Holocaust
A puppy sleeping in the window porch
Next to a small river we found beavers
They were brave enough to not run away
An abandoned house in Terezin

Kutna Hora
|
|
We were camping in Kutna Hora. The place is like a labyrinth, if you go there by car don't expect to find your way out for hours. The most interesting thing in Kutna Hora is a temple filled with objects made from human bones!
Apparently during the Crusades, a priest went to the Holy Land and took earth from the place Jesus was crucified. Then he came back to Kutna Hora and threw that earth around the graveyard.
Because of this, everyone wanted their burrial place to be in that graveyard. In the 19th century, there were over 20000 people burried there.
Then in the 19th century, some priest dug out the bones and made various objects out of them, like chandeliers etc.
Or this emblem
A tunnel
And I think this is his name, written out with bones

We made a quick stop in Prague. This is a statue in front of a weird wall. It's like fossilized flowers

Plzen
|
|
We made a short trip to Plzen, only to discover that most stores sell wine instead of some good beer. Since we didn't have time to search, we left disappointed with Staropramen beers.
This is at some park in Plzen.
I think this was part of the Holy Trinity statue
The cool thing was this 102 meter high church from where you can see the whole town.
Ants
Looks like they keep dinosaurs at the zoo. Haven't checked though.

I've made 2 GB of pictures in the last month, so it'll take some time until I sort them all out. The dates of the posts will be fixed according to the date when the pictures were taken.
Traveling to Prague. This is somewhere in Austria...

I've arrived to Prague in the evening

The beer festival will start soon. Preparations are underway, except the place for the tents is flooded...

Dinosaurs
|
|
I've been to the Motherland for a short visit. The capital greeted me with fog and depressive buildings
Another popular building of a block apartment
There was a dinousaur exhibition!
A footstep. It's around 1 meter in length
This is how scientists imagine a dinosaur looked like. With feathers.
Eggs
Back home, someone made a lot of holes in the ground for some reason
Back in Slovenia, a rainbow greeted me. Then I went to work and it all got depressing again...
