Hum
Pink trees
View from Tabor
View all 15 photos...
I've climbed on top of the Hum mountain (pronounced: Hoom). I didn't plan it, but it was a beautiful weather and I couldn't stay indoors.

There are lots of these pink trees everywhere

The castle of Tabor is halfway to the top. You can see a picture of it at this entry from November.
This is the view of the city from the castle

There's an old train passing through there...

A bastion

There's still more to go to reach the top...

There is a path upwards

This is an outlook from 3/4 to the top

Finally, at the top, there is this cross. Considering it was hard to get up there, you really are glad when you see it!

The river

The sign says "protect nature"

This is the other mountain that I've climbed back in November. Now it looks so small

On this picture you can see the building I live in

There's a directions table on top of the mountain. You can see where each village is.

I think that's a deer...

Lucky bastard. I always wanted to live in such small town lost amid mountains. :angrynods: Mon 21-Apr-2008 20:07

Broth
Meat grinder
Scene of the crime
View all 7 photos...
I've made Swedish meatballs. They were fine, I think I've added a bit too much cinamon, which made them a bit sweet.

The first ingredient is broth. This is cow bones, vegetables, pepper and meat parts being cooked for around 4 hour. When ready, it will be used for creating the sauce

Take 300 gramms of beef and 150 gramms of pig meat, grind them and mix them

Evidence at the scene of the crime!

Add onion, pepper, salt, cinamon and various other spices, and then shape the meat into small balls

Then fry them for some 10 minutes, until they become brown, like hamburger meat

The broth should be ready at this point. Take out the meatballs from the frying pan, and put flour in it. Mix the flour with the fat that remained from the meatballs. Then pour the broth into it, add some wine and rosemary and mix it all up. After that, put the meatballs into this sauce, and fry them for another few minutes.

The final result should look something like this. Very tasty and very nutritient, it took me some three days to eat them all.

Awesome! I love food like this. I think I could have finished them in about fifteen minutes. Hey ~ chicks like guys who can cook, so don't forget to show off your skillz to that girl you've been hoping to impress. Fri 25-Apr-2008 16:57

For the Easter I went home to visit the Motherland

This is from coming back

Snow fell in Slovenia probably the first time since I've been here that the mountains were covered in snow

Of course it all melted later that day...

Immediately upon arrival, I go to work...

I went to Celje to do some shoping, and took some pictures at the same time.
It's a city of 40000 people. There are more people on the streets here, but still the majority drive by cars. Only city center is more crowded

Slovenians seem to relly too much on Serbian music... Seka Aleksić will hold a concert in march

The mall. It's huge enormous, this is where the the bowling alley is as well
